I have 10+ years of experience in the communications field. My skillset is varied, from writing press releases, annual reports, blogs, advertising copy and newsletters to strategizing, posting, and monitoring social media, I’ve built expertise in many diverse areas, honing my skills as projects required. Because the nature of my job and the variety of tasks, I’m experienced at juggling multiple tasks and coordinating projects.
My road to working in communications is a familiar one to many professionals. I studied journalism in college because the storytelling perfectly married my love of writing and learning. After graduating I realized that telling compelling stories often took place outside of the newspaper and I made the shift to doing communications for our local Girl Scout council before accepting my current position at Kentucky Venues.
